I was lucky enough to take part in a 9 day tour through France, Switzerland and Spain with an outstanding tour company specializing in tours for passengers aged 18 -30 something called Topdeck Tours. Not only was the tour guide and bus driver knowledgeable and fun, but the optional excursions with Topdeck were the highlights of my trip. Here are my Top 4 Recommendations:
The Fat Bike Tour
While we were in Paris I participated in the Fat Bike Tour, which took 3.5 hrs and was a great way to get outside, see Paris and learn about the history of this amazing city with a very knowledgeable and outgoing guide. There is no need to sit on a bus or walk for days on end to get in all the sights. Seriously, get on a Fat Bike tour and you'll have a fabulous time, while getting in some exercise to work off the croissants and pastries you had for breakfast!
Picnic under the Eiffel Tower
Have you always dreamed of having a delicious gourmet picnic under the Eiffel Tower? I was thrilled to discover that Topdeck offers this and boy WHAT A VIEW! You can indulge in amazing food and champagne with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Trust me when I say this will take your breath away and is only offered on Top Deck tours.
The Top of Europe
We then jetted off to Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland to experience the Top of Europe at Jungfraujoch in the Swiss Alps. This optional excursion is a must! It includes a train ride through the Swiss Alps along with all the features Jungfraujoch has to offer. There is an Ice Palace, Snowfun activity, amazing lookouts, restaurants and gift shops.
The Flamenco Show
Top Deck knows how to do Barcelona in style and offers a Flamenco show as an optional. This is a great way to immerse yourself in the Spanish culture and enjoy an evening of Spanish dancing and music while sipping on sangria.
Overall, my Top Deck tour was wonderful with plenty of free time for those who want some flexibility and tons of optional add on's to make sure you don't miss out on the Must Do's of the region.
