Whether you're a foodie, or just looking for a hearty meal to get you through your vacation, Hard Rock Hotels has more than enough options to please anyone. We sent our Flightie (and foodie) Karen O'Hare down to the Hard Rock Cancun to review one thing: the food! She shares her experience with us today on the blog:

I love to eat! Who doesn't? And being at an all-inclusive resort is like getting a free pass right? My theory is that when you're on vacation you can eat as much as you want and as often as you want without care or consequence. If you believe this theory too then look no further than the Hard Rock Cancun. Not only can you get 24hr room service, but they offer unlimited a la carte dining! This may possibly be the best idea ever because I find it really annoying when I'm at an all-inclusive resort and I have to wake up at 7am on a Tuesday morning to make a reservation for dinner on Thursday at 9pm. Especially when I'm not sure if I'm going to feel like eating on Thursday at 9pm. I may not be back from my excursion or I may get hungry at 6pm. Unlimited a la carte dining means that you can just walk into any restaurant at any time! Pure genius.

Restaurant Dining

There are four a la carte restaurant options at Hard Rock Cancun. You can enjoy amazing sushi and other tasty Asian cuisine at ZEN. If you're looking for dinner and a show make sure to sit at one of the Teppanyaki counters. You will be treated to a fantastic medley of beef, shrimp, chicken, rice and veggies all cooked on the grill right before your eyes!

If you are looking for a great lasagna or gnocchi then try the Italian option called CIAO. You can get dressed up and have a romantic night with your special someone in this chic restaurant that is tucked away in the corner of the resort. If you're feeling for authentic Mexican then you should try FRIDA'S. The fresh guacamole is amazing and don't forget to order their signature margarita called the Hard Rock. Its blue and its fantastic! And finally, if you're looking for a great steak then the Brazilian restaurant IPANEMA is for you. The meat is served table-side and will keep coming until you beg for them to stop. Leave room for the grilled pineapple at the end and be sure to wear something roomy and comfortable. Remember - its a marathon not a sprint, and when you finish you will be happy that you went the distance!

Casual Dining

If you don't feel like getting dressed up or even leaving your room to eat there are still plenty of dining options for you at Hard Rock Cancun. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily at the Marketplace buffet. They make a mean breakfast omelet and will happily serve you a lovely mimosa while you're admiring the ocean view from the patio. If you can't manage to tear yourself away from the pool in the afternoon don't worry because they serve wings, burgers, fries and nachos at the pool bar. And if its an especially hot day you'll probably find someone coming around offering you a popsicle so that you can have a yummy treat and cool down at the same time. After the sun has gone down and you've hit some of the famous Cancun nightlife be sure to order a cheeseburger from room service when you get back. And why not order a piece of chocolate cake as well. You're on vacation after all!
