We’ve partnered with Air Canada to get you to London and Paris this September. Take advantage of this open-jaw routing; an excellent way to see more of Europe, for less!
June’s Fare of the Month treats you to European festivals, fashion, and food! Thanks to this incredible airfare, showcasing two of Europe’s most famous cities for one low price, you don’t need to be part of the well-heeled jet set to feel like you are. Travelling September 4 to September 18, 2019, here’s what we suggest you see, taste, and tour in London and Paris during this time.
Take a bite out of London and Paris with an open jaw ticket.
Fly into London and out of Paris in comfort aboard Air Canada. The routing between the two great capitals is entirely up to you! Perhaps you find the railway travel enticing, and thanks to the high-speed EuroStar train and outstanding architectural modernity, you can journey under Channel waters in just over two hours.
What is an open-jaw airfare? It’s a flight from point A to B, then C back to A. In this case, fly from Canada to London-Heathrow, then fly home from Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
London
See
September is festival season in the English capital, and the vibe doesn’t get more London than the Totally Thames festival, running all month long. What can you expect at Totally Thames? Entertainment in all forms, from open-air concerts to dining under the stars. Keep a "London Eye" out for the London Design Festival from September 14 to 22, as well as the London Fashion Week, September 14 to 22.
Taste
We go from festivals to food markets, and if you want flavours you’ll yearn for when you return home, check out London’s Borough Market. The city’s biggest food market, once you spot the giant pans of mouthwatering paella, you’ll want to stop for a steamy plate, as well as for photo opportunities. (Just make room for the free cheese samples.)
Tour
September is the last month to tour Buckingham Palace. Every summer, the Queen’s official London residence and one of the world’s few working palaces, is open for public tours. Visit the 19 State Rooms to glimpse at some of the finest English and French furniture, the Royal Collection’s great art treasures, and more. Since 2019 marks Queen Victoria’ 200th birthday, don’t miss the special exhibition devoted to her fascinating life and long reign.
Paris
See
Just before the renowned Paris Fashion Week is acclaimed Paris Design Week, from September 5 to 14, 2019. French and international design professionals converge to present late-night exhibitions, cutting-edge installations, and more.
Taste
Has the idea of fine French wine gone to your head? Ask your Flight Centre travel consultant to book your appointments for tastings before you go.
