The Best Destination Wedding Resorts in Jamaica

Have you ever dreamed of a wedding as charismatic and romantic as the islands of the Caribbean? We love Jamaica for its timeless rhythm, delicious food, and idyllic beaches. Here, one of our Destination Wedding Specialists, Amanda, shares some of the best destination wedding resorts in Jamaica:

With all the options available to those who are getting married these days, how does one narrow it down? Perhaps a quiet ceremony in the garden of their childhood home? A grand, spectacular party with hundreds of your loved ones at a banquet centre? An intimate boat cruise around the city? Or how about a destination wedding?

Destination weddings are becoming more and more popular as they can become significantly more affordable. In Jamaica, I got to see five of the best all-inclusive hotel options for destination weddings.

Sandals Royal Caribbean

The Sandals Royal Caribbean is a private offshore island in Montego Bay. If you spend a minimum number of nights here, you receive a “Beautiful Beginnings” wedding package credit, which comes with a personal pre-travel wedding planner, personal resort wedding planner and dedicated resort wedding team, preparation of marriage documents, musical accompaniment, a wedding website with gift registry, breakfast-in-bed on any morning of your choice, and more. Not bad for the lead-in package, plus there are plenty more options to upgrade. And because it’s its own private island, you can shut it down just for you and your event!

Coyaba Beach Resort and Club

Breezes Jamaica destination wedding

A lovely little resort in Montego Bay with only 50 rooms, this place is perfect because not only do they only host one wedding a weekend, making you and your big day their number one priority, but you and your family can almost take over the entire resort. This will avoid any awkward encounters with guests at the resort potentially photobombing your wedding photos.

For a fee, the hotel can provide a wedding package that includes the venue (a west-facing gazebo for the perfect sunset) legal fees and documents, minister services, wedding coordinator services, a 1-tier wedding cake, sunset champagne toast, floral arrangements, and a couples massage.

Beaches Ocho Rios

Beaches Ocho Rios is a beautiful resort tailor-made for families. From Sesame Street to the Scratch DJ Academy to the waterpark, there is something for every kid and every kid at heart. Adults can relax at the spa, have a drink at one of the bars and lounges, golf, scuba dive – there is plenty to enjoy.

The Beaches Ocho Rios, part of the Sandals family of resorts, offers the same Beautiful Beginnings wedding credit as Sandals Royal Caribbean.

Couples San Souci and Couples Tower Isle

Montego Bay
The final resorts that I would like to mention are two adults-only hotels: Couples San Souci and Couples Tower Isle, both located in Montego Bay. Both hotels have beautiful white sand beaches and are surrounded with lush greenery. Both resorts had a very calm, serene, spa-like feel throughout, with hidden springs and waterfalls around every corner, and the food is top of the line (I have never had better curry in my life. In Jamaica – who knew?).

The Couples Resorts chain of hotels come with a free wedding package if you stay a minimum number of nights. It includes the venue (on the beach or in the gardens), a personal wedding planner, onsite wedding coordinator, wedding officiant, marriage certificate, sound system for your music, professional photographer, wedding and honeymoon registry, and why not, celebratory t-shirts for the bride and groom.

Overall, Jamaica is a beautiful island with some of the nicest, happiest people that I have ever met. The time it takes to fly there is reasonable and flights are easy to find. The grounds at all of these hotels are stunning and the views are breathtaking. I am confident that anyone planning a wedding in Jamaica would be more than happy with the outcome of their big day at any of these resorts.
