Refunds vs. Future Travel Credits
Depending on your circumstances and when you begin the cancellation process, you may receive a future travel credit rather than a refund to your original form of payment. In some cases, travellers may not be eligible to receive any refund.
Many of Flight Centre Travel Group’s travel partners are volunteering to provide COVID-19 related refunds in the form of future travel credits, as a temporary measure. Others, such as Air Canada and Air Transat, are providing full refunds for eligible bookings.
Having travel insurance will greatly increase your chances of getting back 100% of what you paid and recuperate any losses, especially “Cancel For Any Reason” policies. Check out how to make an insurance claim here or ask our Travel Experts for help.
