Tulum, Mexico

Tulum is a small town located on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico. It’s known for its sandy beaches and relaxed atmosphere. Just a short drive from Cancun (less than two hours), it’s truly one of the world’s most desirable vacation spots — for couples and pretty much everyone else who enjoys basking in the sun.

Top activities include swimming, snorkelling, diving, hiking and feasting on authentic Mexican cuisine. Tulum is also home to an amazing ancient ruins site that offers a glimpse into the past and stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.

Paris, France

This list of the top vacation spots for couples wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the City of Love: Paris! Let your very own Moulin Rouge romance come alive by visiting this iconic city in France. Writers, artists and filmmakers have used the stunning backdrop of Paris as inspiration for hundreds of years. It’s a city meant for lovers and is favoured by honeymooners year-round. 

Those interested in history should visit the breathtaking Avenue des Champs-Élysées; this cultural hotspot is home to theatres, exhibits and art galleries — not to mention, luxury shops.

The Amalfi Coast is known as Italy's ultimate beach and luxury sailing destination — and for good reason. Many of its towns are perched between craggy cliffs, forming a speckled and colourful coastline of picture-perfect beaches. It is extremely romantic and has become a popular honeymoon destination among celebrities. 

Make sure to visit the towns of Amalfi, Positano and Ravello. They are all located on the coast and offer stunning views of the sea. Amalfi is the largest town and has a lot to offer visitors, including a historic centre, a cathedral and a landmark beach. Positano is a smaller town that is known for its pastel-coloured houses. Ravello is a hilltop town that is known for its gardens and villas.

  • Swim in the Mediterranean Sea: This part of Italy is home to turquoise waters and umbrella-lined beaches. Take your pick!
  • Taste the local cuisine: Restaurants on the Amalfi Coast cook up some of the best food in Italy. Be sure to try the fresh seafood and pasta — and the limoncello!

Mama Mia! Mykonos is a Greek island known for its white-washed houses, cobblestone streets and vibrant nightlife. In other words: it’s the perfect destination for young couples who like to swim in private lagoons during the day and go out dancing in the evening. There are also plenty of romantic activities to enjoy on Mykonos. You can take a sunset cruise, go for a walk on the beach at night or dine at a cozy restaurant.
