The best time, however, depends on your interests – winter is ideal for skiing and snowboarding, while summer offers perfect weather for outdoor adventures like hiking and kayaking. Spring and autumn are great for outdoor activities, with fewer crowds and relatively mild temperatures.

Get the blood pumping with a thrilling jet boat ride, go bungy jumping, sip your way through Queenstown’s wine region, take a scenic flight, hit the golf course, explore one of the many hiking trails, ride a cable car to the top of Bob’s Peak, cruise Lake Wakatipu, sink in to utter relaxation at Onsen Hot Pools and, if weather permits, hit the slopes.
